COVID 19 UPDATE June 4, 2021
Hogarth’s Clinic Pharmacy has been contacting patients —by text or email— that had AstraZeneca COVID dose one at Hogarth’s Clinic Pharmacy.
Patients will receive a text or email no sooner than 55 days after their first dose.
Patients will be able to book their second dose 56 days after dose one.
Inventory of AstraZeneca COVID vaccine is quite scarce at this time.
As of June 15, 2021 all of our remaining inventory has been booked. We have not been told by the Ministry of Health when or how many more AstraZeneca COVID vaccines Hogarth’s will be receiving.
We have been told that there might be more vaccine shipped to BC at the end of June/beginning of July.
As more vaccine is received, Hogarth’s will return to notifying patients when they can book an appointment.
In the meantime, the government is urging all patients to register with BC Get Vaccinated (1-833-838-2323).
This system will notify you when you are eligible and you may be given the option of receiving an mRNA vaccine sooner than waiting for an AstraZeneca vaccine.
BC Centre for Disease Control is recommending patients that had AstraZeneca dose one, can mix vaccines and choose one of he mRNA vaccines as their second dose.
